About Tiger Cubs:

Tiger cubs are born after a 3.5-month pregnancy, weighing only 2-3 pounds and completely helpless. They're born blind and don't open their eyes until they're about 10 days old. Cubs are born with their distinctive stripes already visible—each tiger's stripe pattern is unique, like a human fingerprint! Tiger cubs nurse for about 6 months but start eating meat at around 2 months old. Mother tigers are fiercely protective and raise their cubs alone, teaching them essential hunting and survival skills. Cubs are playful and spend much of their time wrestling, pouncing, and play-fighting with their siblings—practice for the hunting skills they'll need as adults. Tiger cubs stay with their mother for 2-3 years before venturing out on their own. Sadly, all tiger subspecies are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching, with fewer than 4,000 tigers remaining in the wild.
